Video producer TNDV announced plans to modernize its new HD production van with 10 Hitachi Z-HD5000 multi-format HITTV cameras, along with Hitachi's CU-HD1000 fiber-optic camera control units (CCU), to cover large remote productions, such as concerts and awards shows that require large montages of between seven and nine multi-format cameras."The choice of Hitachi cameras is because they meet the standards requested by our customers for excellent HDTV image quality, reliable performance and functionalities," explained Nic Dugger, president and chief engineer of TNDV, who added that "a comparison between the top cameras on the market revealed to us that these are the most cost-effective equipment, without sacrificing quality or performance."
The new cameras will expand the batch of devices of this brand owned by TNDV, which include Hitachi Z4000W handheld cameras for outdoor recording, all can be transported in equipped vans or included in fly-packs, that is, portable production systems. The Z-HD5000 also includes Canon 20x HD lenses and is compatible with wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
