Wohler showed at NAB a compact, easy-to-read, rack-mountable audio volume monitor that can be used anywhere in the broadcast chain.
Pandora allows broadcasters to comply with the requirements of the CALM (Volume Mitigation of Commercial Notices) law as well as other standards. Pandora's monitor offers a clear and accurate reading of audio volume measurements for any SDI signal with audio.
Pandora accepts and analyzes AES, PCM, Dolby, stereo or multichannel audio, and can offer readings over user-defined time periods, from 5 seconds to 60 hours. Several countries, in addition to the United States, are in the process of implementing regulations on audio volume among the regulated parameters of a television signal. Pandora is a solution for these processes and complies with ITU standards BS1770 and BS1771.
