Sachtler, a brand of the Vitec Group, announced two new 100mm fluid heads, the Video 18 S1 and the Video 20 S1. Based on the field-proven robustness and head technology of sachtler Video 18 and Video 20 for ENG/EFP, the new S1 models provide a wider load range and minimal weight. This expanded capability makes them ideal for withstanding a wide variety of loads from heavy camcords with many accessories, to lightweight DSLR cameras such as the Canon 5D Mark II or 7D.
The Video 18 S1 and Video 20 S1 offer a 16-step expanded counterbalance for very fine center of gravity adjustment for a variety of camera weights. Moreover, the loading range of the Video 20 S1 has been expanded in such a way that with the 18 S1 they can now accommodate cameras as light as two kilograms.
For work with heavy equipment, both S1 heads have been equipped with a Boost button that instantly allows you to expand the load range upwards. The Video 18 S1 handles up to 15 kilograms or up to 18 in Boost mode, while the 20 S1 reaches 18 and 25 kilograms respectively.
