Televisión Nacional de Chile selected Jampro's antenna system to inaugurate the country's first digital television signal.
The system will include the JA/MS UHF bandwidth antenna, RCPU model panel/power splitters, and Proline rigid line systems in a two-line power system for redundancy.
The bandwidth antenna was specifically designed for operation in difficult environments such as those presented by Santiago de Chile, located in a high valley in the middle of the Andes Mountains and the coastal mountains of Chile. The antenna has a sturdy construction with marine brass, copper and virgin Teflon, and is surrounded by white domes with UV resistance for additional protection.
TVN reaches 98% of the Chilean population through a network of more than two hundred repeaters. In addition, it transmits a satellite signal seen all over the world. For its new digital signal, which will originate from its operations center in Santiago de Chile, TVN will use the UHF JA/MS antenna model, from the Prostar series.
