Ikegami Electronics Inc announced that Univision Television Group, a division of Univision Communications Inc, has selected GFCAM HD tapeless camcorders, HDS-V10 series, for studio productions at its U.S. stations.
Univision will transition to HDTV production using Ikegami's cameras for studio production environments, both on robotic pedestals and jibs, and on 'camera-in-hand' work.
The GFCAM camcorder has 3 2/3 CCDs and is available with native 1080i or 720p support. This camera can record on CompactFlash cards housed on top of GFPAK cartridges.
