Holophone, maker of surround microphones, announced an agreement to offer its licensed H4 SuperMINI, PortaMic 5.1 and PortaMic Pro microphones with Minnetonka Audio's Surcode software package for Dolby Pro Logic II.
Surcode digitally encodes 5.1 surround for stereo delivery formats, being a certified and licensed application for encoding and decoding.
With an all-in-one installer, users can choose when and how to use Surcode for Dolby Pro Logic II, giving a powerful development platform at no additional cost. The software allows broadcasters, game developers, and video and audio producers to easily encode 5.1 surround sound mixes within stereo sound files. Ambient sound, sound effects and music can be precoded for delivery within stereo signals, and the resulting mix is fully stereo-compatible.
The software will be available with Holophone products and can be purchased through authorized distributors.
