At the fair, VSN (Video Stream Networks, S.L.) presented more than twenty new versions of its automation products for TV channels in SD/HD, developed by a single manufacturer.
This year's aim was to complete the Spanish company's network of European partners, taking advantage of a marketing campaign that highlights the benefits and cost reductions enjoyed by distributors and end customers of this technology. It also presented the new free trial offer of the vsnIPTransfer IP contribution system that VSN makes all broadcasters and content providers.
VSN showed the new integrated and affordable systems (all-in-one type) of ingest, playout and graphics servers, encompassed in the VMax, VXtreme and vsnmatic families. On-screen graphics get a big boost with the vsnmagicCG titler, fully integrated with the vsnmatic continuity playout .
In terms of automation, vsnmulticom9 incorporates new features in terms of synchronization, as well as important improvements in workflows. The vsncreaTV traffic and management system is now cross-platform (Oracle, SQL, MySQL, etc.) and features a new contract and emission rights management tool, as well as integration with third-party automation such as Harris.
In production and news, vsnnews is now more flexible, incorporating the possibility of MOS interface with third-party graphics systems and text tools. Redundancy levels (playlist) and SAN support have been optimized with a new resource manager.
VSN also presented vsnarchive3 (DAM), its third generation of digital audiovisual archive, which allows a more efficient use of storages through H.264 encoding. If the final support is data tape, the partial recovery of segments is really impactful and the user interface now shows a more complete set of messages about the status of peripherals.
