IDX System Technology introduced IDX Redefined, its first battery system for Red One cameras. The system includes the 'smart battery' Elite mode that quickly and easily activates the data protocol.
Elite gives users the option to choose between using the battery in a standard configuration or SB mode for further integration with the Red One system. In addition, Red One developed together with Element Technica a new mounted battery plate, model EL-BAPIDXA, which allows operators to view live battery level data using percentage values recorded in the camera's viewfinder.
The system has a capacity of 136Wh with IDX dual cartridge mounting and multiple safety and security features. When the battery is charging, a new pair of power cartridges can be inserted into the original box in less than 30 seconds.
