Mobile Television Group, which operates one of the largest fleets of trucks for high-definition mobile production, is the first company in the United States to use Grass Valley's new Kayenne multi-format (SD-HD) video production center for the production of live sporting events.
The company recently installed one of the first Kayenne production models on the new HD 25HDX mobile production truck that produced the first baseball league game in July.
The truck, which was built at the Denver, Colorado, studios, also features ten LDK 8000 HD Elite cameras, from Grass Valley, which can operate in both 720p and 1080i HD formats.
"We started with the Grass Valley 300 switchers , then the Kalypso and Kayak systems, and now we're excited to be part of kayenne's launch," said Philip Garvin, manager of Mobile TV Group. "Based on our experience in Grass Valley products, this switcher will deliver a higher level of performance to our customers. We have always had Grass production switchers for our mobile trucks because they perform better than others on the market and our operators are very familiar with their use."
