The Colombian regional channel began using a DVB-T transmitter from the previous week with which it covers 50% of Medellín, capital city of Antioquia. These signals can only be seen by those who have the encoders required for their reception.
The transmitter is located on the terrace of the Edatel building (annex to Teleantioquia) and will transmit signals in digital format through UHF channel 56, with equipment in test of the Italian-made Itelco Electrosys brand, which were provided to the regional channel by the company Instelec S.A.
This digital test will be done for an indefinite period and will have all the necessary follow-ups to implement the new DVB-T technology in the near future.
