New products for HD production

Sony's Broadcast & Professional Latin America Division launched the HVR-Z7N and HVR-S270N camcorders, and the HVR-M35N player and recorder, which expand its line of technologies for HD production.

The latest HDV products of the Broadcast & Professional Latin America Division of Sony Electronics, Inc. includes two new camcorders that incorporate interchangeable lens systems, recording native progressive, increased sensitivity to operate in conditions low light, hybrid recording to state discs solid and other features designed for both professional video producers as for pro-sumidores.

The new models are the camcorders HVR-Z7N (handheld) and HVR-S270N (mountable to the shoulder). Likewise, Sony also presented the player and HVR-M35N recorder. These new products expand the line of Sony's HD production technologies, including the new Introduced PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX camera, equipped with solid state, and the HDV HVR-HD1000N camcorder mountable to the shoulder, which will be offered soon on the market.

These new tools enhance the versatility of our professional HDV line, and open a world of possibilities for video productions digital HD, said Angiecarla Eyzaguirre, Sr. Manager of Professional Video Product Marketing at Sony Electronics, Broadcast & Professional Latin America Div. The new Sony HDV camcorders and decks are ideal for documentaries, electronic journalism applications, productions independent, music videos, streaming web transfers continuous, and more.

The new camcorders use the System 3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor type 1/3 (0.85 cm) Sony, enhanced with Exmor technology. Characterized by a distribution of rotated pixels 45 degrees, the system 3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor offers enough pixelated surface to the time that maintains a high level of resolution. Technology Exmor provides a unique conversion technique analogous to digital in parallel columns, with double noise cancellation, that produces high quality digital signals with very low noise, similar to those of the formation technology of images used by the PMW-EX1 camera. The two new technologies work together so that camcorders can perform significantly better in low environments lighting, with sensitivity of 1.5 lux.

This training technology of Images is complemented by the Enhanced Imaging system Sony Processor (EIP), delivering high resolution, high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and excellent reproduction Chromatic.

For greater flexibility, the users can put different lenses, with the advantage that both models have a standard universal mounting mechanism in 1/3 (0.85 cm) bayonet to change lenses more easily.

Each camcorder comes standard with a Carl Zeiss 12x, multi-purpose, high-quality lens for HD video, with Vario-Sonnar T coating to reduce Reflections. A specially designed 8x wide-angle lens is it also offers as an option.

With these new lenses, the new camcorders offer the same functionality as the popular Sony fixed-lens camcorders, for example models HVR-Z1N and HVR-V1N, thanks to built-in features such such as autofocus, optical stabilizer and automatic adjustment of the rear focus.
