Canon Broadcast and Communications developed the revolutionary HDgc line of portable HD lenses. Canon increased image quality and capabilities Operational of your eHDxs line of portable lenses to create its new line of HDgc lenses, five of which were presented at NAB 2006.
The KH16ex5.7 GO lens for portable hd half-inch CCD cameras and lens KT20x5B KRS for Portable HD CCD Cameras 1/3 inch they now unite the HDgc family. Like the other members of the new line of HDgc lenses, these latest additions possess characteristics as a reduction of chromatic aberrations, excellent contrast behavior, compact size and weight (in direct response to the equally compact HD cameras), and previously found operational digital features only state-of-the-art lenses. Canon HDgc lenses too incorporate special elements such as Fluorite with extraordinary dispersion characteristics and the newly developed Hi-UD glass (High Index Ultra Low Dispersion).
The new KH16ex5.7 IRSE has a 16X zoom radius and a wide angle of 5.7mm for a 5.7-92mm focal length (11.4-184mm with a 2X extender) internal). Like its linemate, the KH16ex5.7 IRSE includes eDrive, Canon's revolutionary innovation that delivers nine user-definable profiles, one manual option, digitally assisted or a fully programmed control and the Shuttle Shot function to zoom on the largest focal length for a quick focus check.
For its part, the KT20x5B KRS lens HDgc has a zoom radius of 20X and an angle amplitude of 5 mm for a focal length of 5100mm. It was designed for cameras HD portable 1/3 inch CCD and can switch between 16:9 and 4:3. It also includes the Shuttle Shot function.
