FOR-A Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for professional broadcast and video industries, named Pedro Silvestre as Regional Sales Manager for the Caribbean and America Latin. Silvestre will work from the company's new office in Miami.
Silvestre will concentrate their efforts in communicating the benefits of the new line of FOR-A HD/SD switchers, frame synchronizers and equipment for signal processing for the Latin American market. Some products, such as the FA-9000 HD/SD signal processor, presented at NAB last year, they have yet to be released in Latin America. The FA-9000 supports all types of video signal from signal type conversion to conversion of format. Uses internal 12-bit processing and owns converters, color correction, and SNMP control (Simple Network Management Protocol), all in 1RU.
Silvestre served until recently as Regional Sales Manager for Verite Broadcast Solutions, a system integrator and equipment distributor for broadcast based in Miami. Previously, it had been Sales Director for Latin America at OneTouch, a developer of e-learning solutions for corporate television networks. While with OneTouch, Silvestre managed to make sales in the region equivalent to 20% of the company's income. He also worked as an editor of the independent station, KTSF in Brisbane, California.
