Representatives of television channels, government agencies, universities and other companies in the broadcasting industry met in Bogotá, Colombia, during the presentation of Digital Interconnectivity made by Inviso, ADC and Seel.
The seminar was in charge of José Luis Reyes, Vice President of Sales and Projects of Inviso; Frank Shufelt, president of Inviso; and Omar Parada, Commercial Director of Seel.
"The transition to digital television is full of technical challenges and a lot of questions, which make this type of presentation a great help for all our customers, so we are taking this issue together with ADC to the entire region to offer more technical data and advice on a matter that is complex, but on which the television channels have to take action from now on," explained José Luis Reyes.
The presentation had an eminently technical character and covered the definition of the basic parameters of digital audio and video signals, and the various methods for signal transport in broadcast facilities.
There was also a demonstration of several ADC products such as the new ADC PPP Series programmable audio patch panel for AES audio, the PPE4632-MVJT medium-sized video panel, and the new PPM-1248 miniature high-density video panel, both of which support HDTV's 3G format, as well as the new SignalOn system for handling RF signals and several of its active and passive modules.
