El Salvador. Telecorporación Salvadoreña is the main private media conglomerate in El Salvador, with several radio and television channels under its operation. Currently, TCS has an AEQ Conexia intercom system that serves its multiple studios.
Conexia's versatility has made it possible to implement different audio formats in its internal communications, integrating analog, digital, IP, telephone links and Dante technology in the same infrastructure.
With the aim of making the most of the Dante protocol – which allows communication and control over long distances – in this third stage TCS expands its intercom system to reach 64 communication channels, incorporating a new forum called La Gran Vía, located 2 kilometers from the headquarters.
In this phase, the new line of TP9000 panels is implemented, which integrate Dante connectivity for both audio and control, reinforcing the existing infrastructure and guaranteeing efficient communication between both locations.
The heart of the CONEXIA intercom system is the AEQ XCORE matrix, with the capacity to interconnect up to 1,000 different devices. The deployed configuration incorporates total redundancy of operation in this central matrix, including a double power supply, redundant DSP platform in N+a format and multiple controllers, with the aim of guaranteeing maximum availability, something essential in a critical system such as intercom.
The AEQ CONEXIA platform is positioned as a global solution capable of managing all the communications and audio contributions of an installation. Its architecture is based on a broadcast matrix, which allows the largest number of audio formats currently used on the market to be integrated in a completely modular way, selecting resources according to the specific needs of each system at any given time.
This modularity not only provides flexibility, but also allows for full system redundancy, with automatic back-up to controllers, audio processing cards and crosspoints, and even the I/O cards themselves, whether multi-channel or discrete.
The internal TDM bus sizes the array up to a size of 1,024 x 1,024 ports. All this makes AEQ CONEXIA a system with broadcast audio quality – 48 kHz and 24 bits – that provides flexibility and robustness to any project aimed at managing both audio and the intercom system.
The most recent phase of expansion of the system has made it possible to integrate different equipment and technologies that now operate jointly within the platform into AEQ CONEXIA. These include the BS3000 family, TP800 panels, XVirtual mobile software and Xplorer wireless beltpacks based on 5G technology.
In the medium term, a new expansion is planned with the incorporation of more wireless panels and beltpacks, with the aim of continuing to cover the company's operational needs.
Finally, AEQ thanked the support of this project by the staff of TCS El Salvador, led by Charlie Renderos (CEO), Zadi Barahona (Director of Technology and Operations), Edgardo Montenegro (Engineering Manager) and Israel Castillo (PCR Coordinator) in collaboration with the technical services of AEQ, coordinated by César Reyna as manager of the AEQ Mexico office.
