Brazil. The Brazilian audiovisual sector event season kicks off strongly with the Pinnacle Academy Road-Show, an initiative of Pinnacle Group that will offer technical demonstrations, conferences and networking opportunities to film, broadcasting and audiovisual production professionals in different regions of the country.
The first stop of the tour was Brasilia, the federal capital, bringing together specialists, manufacturers and content creators for a week dedicated to technological innovation and knowledge exchange in the sector.
The event came to the capital after the success of the first edition of Pinnacle Academy held in São Paulo, which promoted a practical immersion in the world of digital cinema with cutting-edge equipment and the participation of ambassadors and recognized experts in the audiovisual market.
State-of-the-art cinema camera demonstration
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of Blackmagic Design's latest technologies, including the new PYXIS 6K and 12K cameras, equipped with full-frame sensors, as well as the powerful URSA Cine 12K LF and URSA Cine 17K 65, the latter considered one of the most advanced cinema cameras on the market today.
According to Fabio Angelini, Blackmagic Design's Official Ambassador in Brazil, the event represented a unique opportunity for filmmakers to experience these technologies in a hands-on way.
"To present and demonstrate in practice a camera as powerful as the URSA Cine 17K, with the largest and most advanced digital cinema sensor on the market, 65mm, is a unique opportunity for filmmakers to test and verify the high cinematic quality we can achieve with this camera," said Angelini.
In addition to the cameras, the event showcased MEIKE cinematic lenses, with a Prime line for full-frame and Super 35 sensors, as well as the new E-Image carbon fiber tripods, including the TC200 portable line, which has gained popularity among filmmakers for its ruggedness and mobility in professional productions.
Another highlight of the program was the introduction of DaVinci Resolve, widely used software for editing, color correction, visual effects, and film post-production, which has experienced rapid growth in the number of users globally.
The training was led by Cristiano Moura, Master Trainer and Official Blackmagic Design Ambassador for DaVinci Resolve, who presented advanced features of the software in practice, including collaborative workflows with Blackmagic Cloud and new AI-based tools.
Pinnacle Group participates in SET Regional Center-West.
Among the highlights is TV 3.0 (DTV+), a new standard for broadcast television in Brazil that will combine broadcast and broadband technologies, offering higher picture and sound quality, as well as interactive functions connected to the internet.
The new system is expected to start operating in the main Brazilian capitals from June 2026, marking a new stage in the evolution of television in the country.
"Being part of this movement is very rewarding. We are excited to be able to participate in a new stage of Brazilian television. Pinnacle Group's mission is to understand market needs, connect leading manufacturers with users and share knowledge," said Ricardo Lopez, CEO and President of Pinnacle Group.
