Colombia. Sony Professional Solutions Latin America held a new edition of Networked Live in Bogotá, a meeting organized in conjunction with La Curaçao and with ARISTA as an allied sponsor. This conference seeks to accelerate the adoption of IP workflows, remote production and distributed operations in the Colombian broadcast ecosystem.
The event, which continues the initiatives developed by Sony in the region over the last year, brought together broadcast, telecommunications, live production and media professionals to explore how the intelligent connection between infrastructure, processing and human talent is redefining the way live content is produced.
More than a technological trend, remote and hybrid production has become a strategic operating model for broadcasters, production companies and operators seeking greater efficiency, scalability and sustainability.
"The evolution towards connected productions is not only a technological update; It's a structural transformation in the way the industry plans, operates, and scales its live content. With Networked Live we seek to accompany our customers in this process, integrating connectivity, processing and human talent in a flexible and future-proof ecosystem," said Daniel Mc Donald, Sr. System Solutions Manager of Sony Professional Solutions Latin America.
A connected ecosystem, from studio to cloud
During Networked Live Bogota, Sony presented its comprehensive vision for connected production environments, combining:
• High-performance IP connectivity
• On-premise and cloud processing
• Centralized orchestration and control
• Integration with existing systems and open standards
This approach makes it possible to optimize technical and human resources by connecting studios, control rooms, mobile units and geographically distributed teams, facilitating remote productions without compromising quality or reliability.
More efficiency, less operational impact
The Networked Live model allows:
• Reduce equipment and personnel transfers
• Maximize the use of installed infrastructure
• Scale production capacities gradually
• Optimize operating costs
In addition, it contributes to a more sustainable operation by reducing energy consumption associated with complex technical displacements and deployments.
Colombia as a strategic market
With this edition in Bogotá, Sony reinforces its commitment to the development of the Colombian professional ecosystem, accompanying broadcasters and creators in the transition to more agile, distributed and resilient production models. Networked Live doesn't just showcase technology; It proposes a transformation in the way live production is planned, executed and scaled in an increasingly digital and connected environment.
The event was held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the RCN–Novartis Studios, in Bogotá.
