Latin America. Whether it's to support your favorite band, dancer, or housemate (or island mate, in some cases), viewers have been voting for decades. The same is true on Netflix, where members have been showing their love for their favorite series, movies, and specials for more than ten years through ratings such as thumbs.
Now, the platform introduced real-time voting, a new way to participate in live events. When you go live to watch select titles like Star Search, you can use this interactive feature to vote along with millions of others as the episode unfolds around the world.
Real-time voting is only available while specific events are being broadcast live. If you're watching on TV or a streaming device, vote with your remote or tap the screen if you're watching from the mobile app.
Real-time voting isn't available while watching in web browsers, so make sure you have your TV or phone ready before you hit play.

Each profile has a vote that influences the development of the program and its contestants. Star Search is just the first of many programs that will include this feature.
