Pinnacle Group Closed the Road Show Year with Blackmagic

Pinnacle Group cerró el año de Road Shows con Blackmagic

Brazil. A week after the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) in Belém do Pará, Manaus was once again in the global spotlight thanks to the Amazon and its importance for the sustainability of our planet's ecosystem.

And it was there that the Pinnacle Group was present at the final phase of the most important event in the audiovisual market, the "SET Regional Norte", and also celebrated the last Blackmagic Design Tour with the "Blackmagic Week Manaus".

This week in Manaus, the new PYXIS 12K cinematic camera and the new Camera ProDock for iPhone were presented for the first time in Brazil, as well as Meike fixed lenses, E-Image tripods and other products.

During the panel "The New Era of Audiovisual Production" during SET Regional, Blackmagic Ambassador in Brazil, Fabio Angelini, presented the brand's technological innovations and talked with the participants about the future of the global audiovisual market, as well as about TV 3.0, which will transform the future of television productions. These products (as well as all Blackmagic Design products) are ideal to make this conversion a reality, with high-definition equipment at affordable prices.

"Imagine that we can use iPhones with their Blackmagic Design ProDock docks with HDMI output, inputs for Genlock, timecode and audio... this allows us to produce more events with resources used in large television broadcasts, similar to extremely expensive equipment that makes it impossible to broadcast," said Fabio Angelini, Commercial Director of Pinnacle Group.

In the United States, some productions of major sporting events, such as baseball games, have already begun to be produced with captures made by iPhones connected to the same transmission systems as their mobile units.

Apple announced that the broadcast of Friday night's final baseball game featured footage captured by four iPhone 17 Pros, strategically located at Fenway Park, home of the game between the Tigers and Red Sox.

According to the company, the devices transmitted HD images at 60 frames per second, capturing details such as dugouts, players' entry onto the pitch, warm-ups and even the reactions of fans in the stands (one of the cameras functioned as a "mobile camera").
The broadcast director was even able to switch between the different iPhones during the broadcast, and Apple even obtained certification that allows the use of its devices in future Major League Baseball (MLB) broadcasts, suggesting that this will not be the only time this has happened.

To make this possible, Apple invested heavily in additional software and hardware, such as the Blackmagic Camera app and Blackmagic Camera ProDock support. Details such as image exposure and white balance, in turn, will be controlled remotely with the help of an iPad by the team responsible for streaming.

In addition to presenting new high-quality solutions, the new PYXIS 12K cinema camera was the center of attention. Along with its more powerful sibling, the URSA Cine 17K 65, the new camera drew attention for its ultra-reduced size and weight, but with a 12K LF (Large Format) full-frame Super35mm sensor that captures images with 16 stops of dynamic range.

Blackmagic PYXIS cameras are equipped with a large full-frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032 or an impressive resolution of 12288 x 8040, almost three times that of a Super 35 sensor. This allows you to work with a shallow depth of field or use anamorphic lenses to achieve a truly cinematic look. Whether in bright sunlight or low light, the high-performance sensor with wide dynamic range delivers stunning, low-noise images in any situation. The PYXIS also records at up to 120 fps in the 6K model or 112 fps in the 12K version. This powerful sensor, combined with Blackmagic colorimetry, offers the same quality as the most expensive digital cinema cameras.

"It was a very busy year, with many launches, and we expect 2026 to be a year full of new products and many more events in which the Pinnacle Group will always participate, sharing their experiences and stories and bringing the latest in audiovisual technology to Brazil. Let 2026 arrive!" concluded Fabio Angelini.
