Brazil. Dielectric's presence in Brazil will be consolidated thanks to a new alliance with Foccus Digital, which will expand its broadcasting business throughout the country.
The companies will join forces to supply a wide range of FM TV and radio projects, including low-power systems. Foccus Digital's comprehensive approach, which encompasses distribution, integration and local service, will strengthen business relationships.
Dielectric and Foccus Digital will celebrate this new partnership at the SET Expo, which starts tomorrow and ends on Thursday (August 19-21), where Dielectric will present a new ATSC 3.0 antenna and filter developed for the Brazilian digital television (DTV) market. Foccus Digital will be present at booth 33C at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo.
Dielectric has long been a leading supplier of high-power analog TV antenna and ISDB-Tb systems in Brazil. Foccus Digital's reputation as free-to-air broadcast experts will introduce the Dielectric brand to more broadcast operations, expanding its market share in FM and opening the door to the first ATSC 3.0 trials.
Dielectric's development of a new specialized ATSC 3.0 antenna will support Foccus Digital's efforts in the latter area, providing its domestic sales with a dual-entry solution designed to offer "TV 3.0" services in Brazil's 300 MHz band. Dielectric's new TEM Series MIMO antenna will adapt the same horizontal and vertical polarization ratio as its other ATSC 3.0 antennas to improve mobile penetration and increase data coverage throughout the region.
"Foccus Digital has installed thousands of television and radio transmitters throughout Brazil and works closely with its customers to specify and service complete broadcast systems," said Daniel Bizet, International Sales Manager at Dielectric. Dielectric's reputation for quality, durability and performance is well established in Brazil, and Foccus Digital's comprehensive team of sales, engineering and service professionals will help us expand our brand recognition and find new opportunities for growth.
In fact, Foccus Digital has already secured new UHF contracts for Dielectric, including a fully pressurized antenna on top of a mountain and a coastal SFN FM system in Florianópolis, capital of Santa Catarina.
"This is an SFN with a main station and several low-power sites with GatesAir transmitters and network equipment, and Dielectric offered a perfect technical solution to transmit broadcast content to very specific areas of the city without overlapping signals," said Cesar Donato, President of Foccus Digital. This is just one example of the wide variety of UHF and FM products they offer to compete in Brazil, with attractive prices. Dielectric will also clearly innovate for Brazilian broadcasters thanks to the introduction of a new antenna for the 300 MHz spectrum, which Brazil has authorized for TV 3.0 services. We look forward to presenting our marketing strategy to the Brazilian industry at the SET Expo.
