Colombia. The Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies published on its website the definitive terms of reference to declare viability for the granting of concession licenses by virtue of which the Public Community Sound Broadcasting Service will be provided, under indirect management, by organized communities.
Through this call, the Government seeks to reach regions where this important service is not available, which contributes to social development, cultural promotion, debate and agreement of ideas, which lead to the encounter between the different social identities and expressions of people.
According to the terms of reference of the call, it is planned to offer 274 channels for the same number of municipalities, located in 31 departments of the country. Organized communities that wish to participate in this call can consult Resolution No. 00918 of March 10, 2025, as well as the final terms of reference, to learn about the conditions, requirements and timeline of the process. With this, they will be able to prepare for the presentation of the proposals, which will begin on May 7, 2025.
