Latin America. The 2024 editions of the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana, two of the main soccer tournaments in South America held by Conmebol, had graphics developed by wTVision in their broadcast.
Almost all the matches of these tournaments were produced by Mediapro Argentina from its hub in Buenos Aires, using wTVision's FootballStats CG solution to operate the broadcasts.
Match data, team line-ups and statistics were seamlessly integrated into the broadcasts, thanks to Opta's data feeds. All matches were produced in three languages – English, Spanish and Portuguese – ensuring accessibility for a diverse audience.
In total, 155 Copa Libertadores matches and 157 Copa Sudamericana matches were produced, with wTVision taking over the production of 23 Sudamericana matches from Miami.
This year, they introduced AR³ Football, using augmented reality technology for a promotional graphic of the Libertadores final. The implementation of augmented reality highlighted the potential for visually appealing content in live broadcasts.
