Latin America. FilmLight launched Remote, a solution for remote color correction, which gives post-production companies and colorists the ability to work remotely without sacrificing the high quality and low monitoring latency that are essential for fast and efficient workflows.
It is an integrated product that allows you to integrate a FilmLight control surface, UI monitors, mouse and keyboard with professional monitoring over the Internet. Baselight or Daylight can run HP Anyware or Amazon DCV to provide the remote endpoint with multiple UI monitors up to 4K.
At the same time, an SRT video connection is made to provide high-quality video streaming (JPEG-XS and H265 compliant) to the remote system, where the FilmLight desktop service can also provide support for the Slate, Blackboard Classic, or Blackboard 2 control panels.
Remote also supports the growing interest of on-premises to host equipment off-premises, in a data center or in the cloud. A thin client system can be used to stream the user interface from the Baselight or Daylight system and operate the control surfaces.
The video stream is received by the FilmLight Thin Client or Remote Server, which can be used to receive up to 4 UltraHD video streams and convert them to SDI to interface with the existing SDI routing infrastructure. Remote also opens up the possibility of working seamlessly from home or other remote sites, without the need for additional hardware encoders or decoders.
Remote, which has gone through an extensive beta program, is now available to all users, as part of Baselight 6.0.
