With the TVU MediaHub as a key part of its workflow, Red Bull used cloud-based technology to seamlessly convey the energy of the event and the enthusiasm of the audience to viewers around the world.
The Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final was not only a showcase for the best breaking dancers on the planet, but also a milestone in live event production. It demonstrated how technology can expand the cultural experience to a global audience thanks to the collaboration with TVU Networks.
At the heart of this innovation was the TVU MediaHub, integrated into Red Bull's production workflow, allowing the audience's energy and excitement to be broadcast in real-time to viewers around the world. This cloud-based solution overcame traditional barriers such as budget and geography, offering an effective and sustainable tool.
Global efficiency with cloud technology
Red Bull used MediaHub to distribute high-quality video streams from Mumbai, India, to destinations around the world. This cloud solution eliminated technical bottlenecks and reduced complexity, facilitating the global distribution of content while maintaining the highest standard of broadcast quality.
During the event, the TVU MediaHub managed the redundant distribution of the global signal and ISO signals from third-party cameras via SRT, using two public and static IP gateways, completely hosted in the cloud. By optimizing the sharing of live streams and highlights, MediaHub ensured smooth and uninterrupted broadcasting with the highest broadcast quality.
Detailed capture with remote production technology
The challenge of capturing the fast-paced dynamics of dance battles, driven by audience reactions, was overcome with the use of the TVU RPS One. This remote production system, optimized for low latency over 4G/5G networks, allowed Red Bull to capture every movement accurately, ensuring that the dancers' art was presented flawlessly, even under challenging connectivity conditions.
Not only did the RPS One reduce reliance on extensive on-site resources, but it also demonstrated how complex live workflows can be managed remotely. This reaffirms Red Bull's commitment to reducing environmental impact and maximising creative potential.
