Latin America. Dielectric expands its executive team with the promotion of Kim Savage to Vice President of Marketing and Business Services, effective retroactively to December 23.
Kim, who will report to Dielectric President Keith Pelletier, will continue to lead both departments and oversee all functions of both teams. He will also take on new responsibilities within the commercial services operation that will position Dielectric for future success.
Kim joined the Dielectric family in 1999 through a project management position with then-owner SPX Technology, which sold Dielectric to Sinclair Broadcast in 2013. In 2011, she accepted the pivotal role of Director of Marketing and Commercial Services. The position offered a unique opportunity to revitalize the identity of a legacy brand and modernize its appeal to a new generation of broadcasters.
Dielectric's marketing efforts combined into a powerful force that led to the historic era of reorganizing the television spectrum in which Dielectric built and shipped more than 1000 antennas. That translates to more than 80 percent of the repack's market share, effectively restoring the company's strong brand recognition worldwide.
Kim's vision for the Commercial Services department will offer a clear window into what lies ahead for Dielectric on the commercial front. That includes a greater emphasis on strategic partnerships both inside and outside the broadcast industry. New partnerships in 2024 include SCMS in North America, which very quickly produced a noticeable increase in FM radio sales for Dielectric. In November, Pippin Technical Service signed on as Dielectric's sales and support partner throughout Western Canada.
She hopes to add more partners through the Business Services department's diligence through 2026 and pursue AI technologies from third-party companies. These will eventually be tested for potential use in Dielectric's scientific and transmission markets, the latter of which typically orders custom RF products, including power dividers, transmission lines, and elbows.
"Dielectric's embrace of open opportunity and trust in employees have always made this a great place to work," said Savage. "For example, I have a new opportunity to influence the future of our FM radio business, both on the technological and management side. There has always been a stimulus from the top down to be creative and try new things. The doors to new opportunities are still there and always have been."
"For more than 25 years, Kim has been a driving force behind our company's vision, strategically showcasing our strengths through our biggest challenge (broadcast reorganization) and paving the way for our future in the FM market," said Pelletier. "Their unwavering dedication and expertise have been instrumental in aligning our marketing strategies with our goals, ensuring our continued success and growth. We look forward to Kim's leadership as she guides us through this exciting new chapter."
