Latin America. At NAB Show 2023, Merlin Distributor was awarded for its work and commercial success obtained during fiscal year 2022, meeting the established goals and generating record sales in Latin America.
In the case of Panasonic, it obtained the "Award for the best performance in sales in Latin America in fiscal year 2022", achieving a sales growth of 96% and having a growth expectation for 2023 of 2 digits, as Rodrigo Costa, sales manager of Panasonic do Brasil says: "We have achieved an increase in sales of PTZ cameras of 176% compared to fiscal year 2021" – highlighting the growth goal for 2023 across Panasonic's professional line in Latin America – "We have a goal of increasing sales of 10% by FY2022, focusing on the sale of remote cameras, and in the case of Broadcasters from studio cameras to PTZ camera with the new UE160".
Another important moment during NABShow was the meeting held with the director of Canon USA and the Canon team in the region, together with the directors of Canon Brazil and Canon Mexico, in order to further expand the business developed by the manufacturer together with Merlin Distributor after having achieved in recent years a growth of 100% of Canon in America, obtaining in this case the Distributor of the Year Award 2022 both in Brazil and also in Latin America in the categories of Professional Video Cameras EOS Cinema, Video camcorders and Mirrorless in the region.
For Fabio Zuccaratto Migotto, broadcast coordinator at PIS - Professional Imaging Solutions of Canon do Brasil Industria e Comercio Ltda.: "I could say that this new achievement means commercial consistency, sales and marketing strategies converged in the right direction – adding – "Canon and Merlin, in Pro Business, have been showing significant growth in the Film categories, Lenses, ProVideo and Mirrorless year after year, and I could say that our main challenge in 2023 is to consolidate also the 4K and PTZ Monitors, because we are sure that we have a fantastic product line."
One more recognition obtained by Merlin Distributor was granted by Sony Professional Latin America by Kenichiro Hibi, president of Latin America of Sony and Luis Fabichak, director of Sony Brazil, added to the planning of the goals and commercial strategies for this year 2023, rewarding the distributor "For its excellent sales and distribution results during fiscal year 2022 for the growth of the Procam / Broadcast market"
During the NABShow also the directors of the company had the opportunity to meet with Sergio Constantino, general manager of operations for Latin America of JVC Professional Video Products / JVCKENWOOD, together with whom they drew up a plan of important opportunities for the entire distribution channel of the brand in Latin America for this year, planning together with Constantino: "Incredible prices on JVC's low-cost PTZ product range for the region."
In the case of Datavideo, Merlin Distributor received from Jack Lin, president of Datavideo, together with Craig Moffat, managing director and Ricardo Santos, regional sales manager both of Datavideo US, the award for "The recognition for the commitment and dedication to Merlin Distributor for exceeding 2021 sales and achieving a growth of 25% in Latin America", highlighting Santos: "It is the result of the excellent service, professionalism and experience that Merlin Distributor has in the Latin American market for our market."
Finally, AJA Video Systems was another of the manufacturers that awarded the leading master distributor in Latin America for its work done in 2022 by Bryce Button, director of product marketing and Manny Rosado, territory manager reseller & engineering both at AJA Video Systems, highlighting: "Their permanent commitment and dedication to service" and achieving a marked sales growth with reference to last year, projecting a firm work plan for this 2023. "Merlin Distributor has been in the Broadcast area a really very effective distributor, they have met 100% the distribution guidelines, obtaining an excellent sales result and an exact model as a distributor, so from AJA is giving all the support and attention they need from us" said Rosado
