JVC launched its first NDI-compatible cameras

JVC

Latin America. JVC introduces its first NDI-compatible broadcast cameras: GY-HC500UN, GY-HC550UN and GY-HC500SPCN. The cameras join JVC's previous HC500 series portable camcorders, which feature optimized image processing and IP performance.

Designed in direct response to requests from system integrators, NDI-compliant versions ensure that broadcast studios, schools, churches, and other facilities can seamlessly incorporate cameras within their existing IP infrastructure as a live video source with IP and tally remote control capability. Current users of the HC500 series can also have JVC upgrade their cameras to implement NDI's new capabilities.

Already present in several of JVC's newest PTZ cameras, NDI is a leading technology that allows hardware and software-based video devices to communicate and collaborate over any standard Ethernet-based network.

Among the many benefits of NDI is the reduction of hardware required to operate and the ability to send multiple video streams over a single connection. It also allows you to manage multiple video sources in real time, with the easy-to-use NDI Discovery network feature. These features not only reduce overall costs and rack space, but also ensure simplified setup and allow for greater flexibility and creativity.

"The addition of these NDI-compatible portable camera solutions to JVC's product line further strengthens the brand's commitment to IP workflows," says Joseph D'Amico, vice president of JVC Professional Video.

"This not only ensures that facilities can use the cameras with existing infrastructure, but also allows them to easily integrate a combination of JVC PTZ and broadcast camera solutions into a single workflow, providing a more engaging experience for viewers. We hope to have the NDI-enabled HC500 series cameras in the hands of customers when they start shipping next month."
