Colombia. Next Friday, January 27, 2023, the deadline expires for concessionaires of commercial, public interest and community issuers that have submitted an extension request for their operation, to update their consideration and other financial obligations. This was recalled by the ICT Ministry.
"One of the principles of the Government of change is legality in the ICT sector. I invite broadcasters throughout the country to comply with the established requirements, this will allow us to guarantee the adequate provision of the service and, through the radio, continue connecting to Colombia, "said ICT Minister Sandra Milena Urrutia.
This procedure is mandatory to continue with the extension of the concession, as stipulated in Resolution 2614 of 2022 that seeks to promote a more efficient provision of the public broadcasting service and promote its continuity to meet the telecommunications needs of citizens.
After complying with this process, the 126 concessionaires of commercial, public interest and community broadcasters will be able to formalize the extension of the concession to, in this way, provide the service legally and in compliance with their obligations in charge.
