NAB. AMETIC, Association of Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies, will coordinate the Spanish participation in NAB Show 2016, which is attended by 24 companies.
Among others are AEQ, Brainstorm, Btesa, Egatel, Structure, Hispasat, ISID, Itelsis, Knoxmedia Hub, Mier Comunicaciones, Next Limit, NTI, OMB, Ovide, Promax, Quales, Rymsa, Sapec, SGO, Tedial, Televes, Tredess, Vector 3 and VSN, some of which receive iceX support for the occasion.
The Spanish industry of the broadcast sector has companies with great export capacity (most of them, with exports exceeding 60% of their production) and that enjoy international recognition and implementation of their products for some decades. This industry is no stranger to the transformation that is being experienced and offers cutting-edge solutions capable of competing in this scenario. A true reflection of this is the constant increase in companies in our country that come to NAB every year.
Starting with production environments, the widespread trend is for all workflows to go to the IP world to simplify their handling and, in this sense, AEQ presents numerous audio over IP connectivity solutions.
With regard to advanced multimedia content management, the Spanish industry also has cutting-edge innovations in MAM tools and solutions aimed at the acquisition, distribution, archiving, analysis, indexing, exchange or playout, with companies such as Estructure, ISID, Tedial, Vector 3 and VSN with products in these fields.
The Ultra High Definition will also be present by sapec, which already markets professional encoders with the HEVC standard, and Ovide, with an "all-in-one" video assistance solution for the production of series or films capable of working in 4K.
The generation of virtual sets and real-time 3D graphics provided by Brainstorm are also a reference, as well as the color correction and finishing solutions that SGO proposes for the post-production of films or large television series.
For its part, Next Limit will show, among other things, its famous simulator of dynamics and fluids for film production. When it comes to video quality control throughout the workflow, Quales offers a versatile and automated tool. Finally, Knoxmedia Hub will present its cloud platform that offers services to producers, post-producers and distributors of audiovisual content.
Obviously, everything related to the contribution/diffusion/reception of radio and television will also be present at NAB and will have a large Spanish representation. Thus, Hispasat, operator that leads the distribution of content in Spanish and Portuguese (more than 1,250 radio and television channels), will present the offer that has led it to position itself as the fourth satellite operator in Latin America.
On the other hand, in terms of equipment for radio and television broadcasting centers, Btesa, Egatel, Itelsis, Mier Comunicaciones, OMB, Rymsa and Tredess will bring to the event a wide and solid offer of products that are already operating in the networks of the major global broadcasters or that will be part of them in the future, which includes radio and television transmitters in several standards (DVB-T, DVB-T2, ISDB-T and ATSC) with product in the entire power range (from gap fillers to very high power), radiant systems for radio and TV or RF components (combiners, filters, dividers, multiplexers, etc.).
Likewise, you can see the most advanced test and measurement equipment for television networks (DVB-T, DVB-T2, ISDB-T and ATSC) that Promax sells in the five continents. For its part, NTI will present its design and integration solutions for the transport of audio, video and data signals by satellite and microwave. The Spanish participation will be completed by Televes, which will come with products among which its accredited range of components and equipment for the reception and distribution of television signals from multiple platforms stands out.
"Thanks to technological advances," said Virginia Jiménez, head of the Department of Foreign Trade at AMETIC, "the audiovisual sector is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. Increases in processing capabilities, as well as in the speed and management of data flows, are two key factors that are enabling this transformation in the value chain, with the ultimate goal of improving the user experience both in the cinema and in a multi-device environment (TV, smartphone, tablet, etc.) increasingly interactive in which, in turn, spectacular progress is being made in terms of new content."
"Thus," continues Virginia Jiménez, "the advance of 4K in cinema and Ultra High Definition (UHD) in television continues unstoppable and focused on improving its set of differentiating features (HFR, WCG, HDR and immersive audio based on dynamic objects). On the other hand, the distribution of multiplatform content (DTT, satellite, IPTV, cable, HbbTV, LTE) is also evolving in a scenario to which new standards are arriving and in which high-quality non-linear content begins to take center stage. And in the midst of all this, novel solutions are emerging for the management of all audio, video and data streams derived from the new needs in almost all parts of the value chain."
To support Spanish participation and promote their participation in the event, the Department of Foreign Trade of AMETIC, has developed a website from where you can access a complete description of the companies, contact persons, press releases of each company, their best international references, as well as an electronic catalog: www.nab.ametic.es For more information, you can write to [email protected]
