Colombia. The call of FOX Networks Group Latin America, which seeks the best audiovisual projects in Colombia, will be open until April 30.
In a few weeks the group's initiative in Latin America, aimed at finding and promoting the development of the best content in Spanish and Portuguese, has already received through its website www.foxproduccionesoriginales.com / www.foxproducoesoriginais.com more than four hundred content proposals that will be evaluated at the end of the call by the Original Productions team of FNG Latin America and that include scripted and unscripted projects, factual and sports from all over Latin America, Spain and the U.S.
The call has managed to capture the attention of screenwriters, independent producers and production companies throughout Latin America, so it is expected that those interested can apply for their proposals until Saturday, April 30, 2016.
The response obtained has exceeded FOX's expectations. "We know that in the region there is a lot of talent and that Latin America is a factory for generating content and formats that are produced and exported around the world and although we ventured a very positive response, the number of projects we have received in such a short time, has pleasantly surprised us" said Edgar Spielmann, EVP & COO of FNG Latin America.
Among the markets where most of the fiction projects received so far come from are Colombia, Argentina, Brazil , Mexico, Chile and Venezuela. Brazil, Colombia and Mexico lead the way in factual content. Brazil, Argentina and Colombia lead the category of unscripted stories while Colombia, Argentina and Mexico do the same in sports projects.
Fictions from other markets such as Uruguay, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru and Ecuador are also part of the more than 400 ideas that are being evaluated.
Once the deadline for receipt has passed, it is estimated to have the pre-selected projects at the end of July, and then give way to the creators presenting them personally to the Development and Production team of FNG Latin America in September, in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City, São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
The final election will be announced in the last quarter of the year with the aim of developing the selected stories from 2017.
