NAB. Between April 24 and 27, NAB Show 2022 will be held, a version that will mark the return of the fair after 3 years of not being held due to the restrictions of the pandemic. While it is true that it will not be a version of the size and dimensions of the fairs that the industry is used to witnessing, it will mark a very important milestone for the recovery of the industry fair circuit.
One of the most important novelties of the fair is the one that will no longer begin on a Monday as it has traditionally been done. Now it will be from Sunday to Wednesday. In addition, the two south pavilions of the Las Vegas Convention Center will not be available for the show. In its replacement, the new pavilion, called New West Hall, will be occupied.
Virtuality and the hybrid world will also be the protagonists of the fair. Some companies, due to corporate restrictions due to the pandemic, stopped participating, others reduced the number of people who will be present at their stands and even some suspended their events prior to the expo to avoid crowds of people and will do so virtually.
But the expectations of the companies participating in this version are high. This was shown by the manufacturers with whom TVyVideo+Radio had the opportunity to speak for the special that we presented in the edition that will circulate at the fair. They highlighted not only the joy of meeting again in person with colleagues and customers, but also the boost that the fair will be able to give to the recovery of the market that, in most cases, has been noticed in an important way in the first months of 2022.
In addition, because it will be an opportunity to know first-hand the plans and projects of the industry towards the future, as well as to present and be able to test the new technologies available, many of them launched in pandemic and that they had not had the opportunity to demonstrate due to the restrictions in each country.
Even this year there will be an important space for companies with emerging technologies, to which NAB Show opened a place to present their developments prior to the beginning of commercialization and which had to go through a curatorship to be able to be there.
And, last but not least, there will be the space that NAB Show has allocated in 2022 in which women will be protagonists. In partnership with GALSNGEAR, they will provide a space for training, training and learning of high level, in a Summit dedicated to women within the framework of the fair in Las Vegas.
