Argentina. With the aim of continuing to strengthen the audiovisual production of community media, the ENACOM Board of Directors decided to approve the projects that are part of the Building Equipment and Adaptation Line (Line E/2021 - Radio Subline and Television Subline).
By 2022, the maximum investment allocated for this line will be 87,600,000 pesos, distributed with the following scheme: 60,000,000 pesos for the Radio Subline, 10,800,000 pesos for the Television Subline (operator licensee modality) and 16,800,000 pesos for the Television Subline (licensee and authorized modality).
In this regard, María Sucarrat, deputy director of Community Media and Plurality of Voices of ENACOM, said: "From the Subdirectorate it seems essential to open a call to the Equipment Line every year. It is a line that is repeated, unlike others, since many media need basic equipment, while others update the materials with which they work. We know that it is very difficult for a non-profit media to buy equipment and thus exercise the human right to communication and meet its audiences."
With this initiative, ENACOM takes up the axes established in Law 26,522 on Audiovisual Communication Services, which seek to strengthen community communication to guarantee diversity in the production and transmission of audiovisual content.
