Latin America. Bitcentral announced changes to the management team that will boost its efforts to allow media publishers to maximize the value of their video content investments.
The changes bring Intenors' longtime Board Member Steve Petilli as its CEO; Fred Fourcher, the founder of Bitcentral, continues to serve as chairman of the board; and Sam Peterson is named chief operating officer.
"Our goal is to deliver industry-leading media workflows for the linear TV streaming and media streaming market. Our expertise enables media publishers to simplify the production, asset management, distribution and monetization of video content to stream to audiences," said Fred Fourcher, President of Bitcentral. "The appointments of Steve and Sam, who have a track record of operational business success, will see them work together to ensure our solutions continue to meet all customer needs."
Fred and the board appointed Steve Petilli to the position of CEO because of his deep knowledge of Bitcentral, the markets in which it operates, and his strong leadership.
Steve has been deeply involved with Bitcentral for over two decades as a board member. He has experience and high-level knowledge in party streaming and viewing platforms, wireless services and linear transmission. He founded, built and sold several high-tech companies. They include Pivotal Technologies and Networks in Motion. Pivotal was sold to Broadcom and Networks in Motion was sold to Telecommunications Systems. Steve is a member of several company boards, is an investor in Bitcentral and a limited partner in several venture funds.
Sam Peterson is promoted to Chief Operating Officer, after successfully leading all of Bitcentral's core solutions activities, which included product management, development and quality assurance. Prior to joining Bitcentral, he spent more than 20 years in leadership positions at industry-leading large corporations, holding management positions in automation, broadcast, news production, live production and broadcasting.
