Mexico. The channel Nueve TV of San Luis Potosí is a public television operator, dedicated to the production of programs and audiovisual material. It has a presence in 16 municipalities in the state of San Luis Potosí and in 5 other states of the Mexican Republic. Also, its signal is available on the main pay TV services in Mexico.
Nine TV acquired Igson PlayNow Plus with ingest module as its playout system and master control main. Igson PlayNow Plus also includes the Igson Graphics generator.
Multi-format playout
The implemented solution includes two HD video playout channels, one automated and one for pre-ingestion. The automation is done through playlists with automated opening, in which they can add multimedia events in different formats: MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H264, MXF, GXF, MOV, AVI, WMV, VOP, XDCAM, AVID DNxHD, MXF, MPEG-2 Long GOP, MXF, AS-03, Quicktime, Windows Media File, etc., in addition to live inputs and streams.
The successful Channel-in-a-box Igson PlayNow system features Up-conversion (SD to HD) and Down-conversion (HD to SD) of files "on the fly", as well as scheduling options for event output at an exact time (Timed Events), automation of graphic events, automatic launch of the channel identifier, transmission reports, normalization of the audio gain, etc.
As for the second playout channel for preview and ingest, Nueve TV has a powerful tool for previewing, virtual segmentation of clips, audio level control of videos, as well as a scheduler to make playlists in advance.

The graphics generator included in Igson PlayNow Plus, Igson Graphics, allows Nueve TV to create multiple graphic events to place in its programming: logos, animated logos, video graphics, ribbons, clocks, RSS tickers, stopwatches, texts, etc.
From Igson PlayNow Plus you can activate up to 35 on-screen graphics events manually, while from the playlist you can also automate up to 4 graphics per event, which guarantees the output of graphic elements according to planning. Several legislations require to show the channel identifier every certain time and with the automation of Igson Graphics this task is carried out without margin of error.
Streaming module
Nueve TV has internet transmission through RTMP streaming that now performs directly from the master, since Igson PlayNow Plus has the option to generate RTMP stream of the signal. As in the ingest module, Nine TV operators can edit the audio and video bit rate to set the quality of their streaming.
Igson's solution has been implemented in the Nueve TV project through collaboration with the Mexican company DVPro, a company specialized in integrating television channels and with a consolidated trajectory in the audiovisual world.
