Latin America. TVU Networks announced TVU Remote Commentator, a cloud-based solution that allows sports producers and event organizers to add synchronized, real-time audio commentary from any location using a public internet connection.

With TVU Remote Commentator, talent no longer needs to be in place or use expensive REMI configurations. All sessions are created and managed in the cloud, eliminating the need for expensive hardware or software.
Using a browser-based interface on a laptop or smart device, TVU Remote Commentator allows talents to join production from home or virtually anywhere with a standard internet connection. The interface provides a high-quality, low-latency preview of the event, allowing talent to add comments that are synchronized with the program.
An intuitive user interface makes it easy to create events with default start and end times. The event organizer can select any source (SDI IN, IP source, recorded clip, etc.) and use it as a source of return video feedback (VFB) and channel output, so that commentators receive a high-quality video stream to follow the action. The price is based on usage, not annual contracts, and organizers only pay for the hours used for each event.
With TVU Remote Commentator, multiple commentators in multiple remote locations can collaborate on a single production. TVU's auto-sync technology ensures that all audio and video from all commentators are synchronized with the main video stream, regardless of network latency or event distance.
Not only can they hear each other with full mixing ability, but a private secondary channel allows them to see each other as well, helping to observe critical body language queues and replicate talent interaction in person.
To create multiple comment channels for different languages or regions, the organizer can create separate groups. Commentators from the same group can communicate with each other, and all groups watch the same live stream, but members of each group only watch and hear their own group.
An audio operator can manage all commentator streams using TVU's web-based audio mixer, which offers level control, recording, muting/reviving, and mapping of audio channels for outputs.
Localized comment sources can be routed to separate audio channels, or completely separate outputs can be created for each channel. Beyond live productions, TVU Remote Commentator can also be used to upload voiceover files for recorded content.
