CRC launches virtual courses on audiovisual content

crc, cursos audiovisuales

Colombia. The Communications Regulation Commission launches two free virtual courses with which it seeks to empower citizens for the generation of digital audiovisual content as a means of citizen participation and strengthen the capacities and skills necessary for a critical, profitable and responsible reception of audiovisual content.

The courses, designed for both viewers and citizens who create independent and amateur audiovisual content, are part of the pilot project to promote citizen participation in the audiovisual ecosystem, which consists of the generation of spaces for training, pedagogy, information and feedback for the exchange of knowledge in the face of rights and duties, guarantee of information pluralism, audience formation, and new trends in the generation of audiovisual content.

The course of Critical Reception of Audiovisual Content will allow participants to know in an easy, synthetic, didactic and free way the legal and normative bases of the rights of the viewer in Colombia, the keys and principles of audiovisual criticism, which will enhance the critical and reflective capacity when viewing audiovisual content, as well as the guidelines to recognize what audiovisual content that circulates on the Internet may contain untruthful information.

On the other hand, the Citizen Audiovisual Generation course will provide participants with the main concepts of citizen audiovisual production for the web and will teach them tools that facilitate the efficient and responsible realization of content, under the principles of web narrative, new digital audiovisual formats and the generation of responsible citizen content.

"We have the classrooms open. Viewers, content producers and in general all citizens throughout the country, are invited to register completely free of charge, train in the subject of their interest, obtain their AULA CRC certificate and be part of those who actively participate in the construction of the television we want, "emphasized Commissioner Fernando Parada of the Session of the Audiovisual Content Commission.
