Latin America. Blackmagic Design's new URSA Mini Pro 12K is an innovative digital cinematic camera that includes a Super 35 sensor (12,228 x 6480) and a dynamic range of 14 stops to shoot at frequencies of up to 60 f/s in 12K with a resolution of 80 megapixels per frame.
This new version features the same design as the award-winning URSA Mini Pro line and takes advantage of the company's fifth-generation colorimetry, while delivering improved performance when recording in Blackmagic RAW format.
The Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K revolutionizes digital cinematography with a Super 35 (12,288 x 6480) sensor and 14 stops of dynamic range integrated into the award-winning camera frame. With 80 megapixels per frame, a new colorimetry and the flexibility of the Blackmagic RAW codec, working in 12K resolution is now a reality.
The oversampling process in 12K resolution delivers the best images in 8K and 4K, with subtle skin tones and extraordinary details worthy of high-end cameras. It is also possible to shoot at 60 f/s in 12K, 110 f/s in 8K and up to 220 f/s in 4K (Super 16). On the other hand, this model has an interchangeable PL mount, integrated neutral density filters, two slots for CFast and SD UHS-II cards, and a SuperSpeed USB-C expansion port.
The camera sensor offers an original resolution of 12,288 x 6480 and 80 megapixels per frame. In addition, it provides 14 stops of dynamic range, a native ISO value of 800 and an equal amount of red, green and blue pixels, in addition to having been optimized for images at different resolutions.
Other releases
The company also introduced other technologies, such as 3G Video Assist, UltraStudio Monitor 3G and UltraStudio Recorder 3G.
Blackmagic Video Assist 3G: Cheaper versions of the company's renowned portable recording and monitoring devices. These include graphical renderings, optimized batteries, and 3G and HDMI SDI connections for SD/HD formats at a more affordable price.
UltraStudio Monitor 3G and UltraStudio Recorder 3G: Capture device and other playback, including 3G SDI and HDMI connections with high-speed Thunderbolt 3 technology. In addition to being extremely portable, these models are powered by the Thunderbolt port by connecting them to a computer or an external source.
The UltraStudio Monitor 3G and UltraStudio Recorder 3G models are two independent products, one for recording SDI and HDMI signals, and the other for playback.
