Latin America. Telestream announced new functionality and software-based feature sets for its PRISM Waveform Monitor, suitable for both SDI and IP workflow applications.
With this new version, PRISM is ideal for all traditional SDI Waveform Monitoring tools required in operations, compliance control, quality control and post-production workflows with resolution up to 8K. Simultaneously, the same product offers a full suite of IP-based Waveform Monitoring tools with up to 4K resolution on 25G Ethernet. PRISM includes enhanced High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) reports and tools to increase efficiency in SDI and IP environments.
PRISM is a software-based solution, which means that a physical device can take advantage of a full range of applications and features. It is faster, more intuitive and better suited to the current demands of waveform monitors.
With remote work capability
PRISM's user interface and API are accessible remotely, enabling remote work and socially distancing production environments, which are especially relevant in the current pandemic. Thanks to PRISM's multi-user flexibility, operators don't need to be in the same physical location as the device. PRISM allows remote access to its user interface for testing, so despite the current restrictions in the world due to COVID, projects can be kept running by remote and socially distanced staff.
In addition to remote work, it supports touchscreen and dual screen options, allowing the user to adapt to their preferred work environment. Through the software options, the system can be easily used for production, engineering, quality control, IP measurement, IP generator, 4K, 8K and more. All functionalities are available in the same user interface, either working remotely or using a touch screen.
With the addition of over 20 new analytics tools in 8 major updates, PRISM is now one of the best established IP and SDI waveform monitor solutions on the market, implemented by a large installed base of users who rely on PRISM to keep up with industry changes, including technical upgrades such as NMOS or specialized capabilities for remote work environments.
