Latin America. Datavideo announced its KMU-200, a 4K multi-channel touchscreen switcher with built-in streaming and recording. It is the latest addition to the KMU series based on the award-winning KMU-100.
This equipment transforms this new market category with multichannel touch screen, streaming and recording all in one into a switcher. The KMU-200's all-in-one design is similar to the Datavideo Hand Carried Studio line of switchers that offers switching, audio mixing, recording and streaming in a compact, portable system.
Popular social media platforms look better and have the highest engagement in portrait mode using smartphones. The KMU-200 workflow has horizontal (16:9) and vertical (9:16) switching modes. Horizontal streaming is the current norm, however, vertical video content is growing in popularity due to smartphones where most of the content is consumed in portrait mode.
The KMU-200 offers professional and engaging vertical video productions with multiple camera angles and high-quality audio. The built-in encoder streams directly to popular CDN platforms like Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram in portrait or landscape mode. Record your live events with the built-in SD card recording.
A single 4K camera can be used to get four cuts or regions of interest and the full-screen view, plus another HDMI input for an additional camera or computer.
"The KMU-200 is perfect for smaller house of worship applications or panel interview applications. With social distancing becoming a new norm, the KMU-200 reduces the need to have multiple team members to produce and broadcast their production," says Craig Moffat, Managing Director of Datavideo US.
