Latin America. There are several novelties that the company Evertz is presenting these days. Among others, its transition solutions for IP stand out, including support for its Magnum orchestration system with third-party IP switches such as Cisco.
Rodrick Smith, Sales Director for Latin America at Evertz, highlighted to TVyVideo+Radio other solutions, such as virtualization using software to create products and functionalities based on licenses and on demand; growth in the product line for 12G-SDI; and innovative solutions for remote production such as Scorpion and the new JPEG-XS codec for high-quality remote production. All these solutions are now ready to deliver anywhere in the world.
On the attention to his clients in this time of contingency, he stressed that "the only thing that has changed is that we are not traveling and we are all working from home. But we are working and in contact with our partners and customers on a daily basis. And although some projects have been delayed, life and business continues and there are several projects underway that we are moving forward."
Among these projects, the new CNN Brasil channel stood out. There Evertz was selected for all the key infrastructure: Central and backup matrix, all modular distribution and processing infrastructure, emission switches (master control) and multiviewers and system monitoring by SNMP VLPRO NMS,
"But the part we are most proud of is the use of Scorpion to connect 2 remote studios, Rio and Brasilia, from Sao Paulo. In this last city all the control rooms are located, and from there they can manage the production of the daily notes produced in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia with complete control."
This system has bi-directional video links using J2K and bidirectional IP intercom, RS232 for camera control, blackburst sync, tally for cameras and microphone audio.
