Colombia. The Bitmovin company has been growing in Latin America year by year, but during 2019 the growth was highly satisfactory, said Thomas McCarthy, Bitmovin's Sales Director for Latin America.
"Bitmovin's growth level in Latin America in 2019 was 250% and globally we doubled sales. It was an excellent story. The growth has been distributed in different countries, with scope for large and recognized companies, even lower level companies but that have a good business plan and can take advantage of the solutions that Bitmovin offers, "said the executive.
During its participation in the Andinalink Cartagena fair, the company focused on presenting the necessary solutions for any streaming platform. They are focused on making the best of technology, innovation, results with the main products that are the part of encoding, player and analytics.
"Customers can take advantage of the speed of integration, so they can come out with a platform much faster. They also have a benefit of better experience for their customers between states, boot time, low buffering, quality. And very important in this whole industry is to lower operational costs, so that companies generate more profits."
On the growth of adoption of cloud solutions, Thomas McCarthy highlighted that "At Bitmovin we say we were born in the cloud for the cloud. From the beginning of the company everything was designed to work in the cloud, it is something for which we are prepared and we have the ability and knowledge to move in it. The great thing about our software-based solution is that it can work in the cloud or on-site. The funny thing is that most customers who may have their own data center see the results of the cloud and want to continue with it."
