Mexico. During his participation in Cinema Week, organized by the distributor of solutions, Videoservicios, the developer of video lenses and cinematography and image tools, Zeiss, offered his perspective on the Mexican market.
"In this Cinema Week, organized in Mexico City, we are presenting our entire line-up of cinematography lenses, which have applications for videography. We are presenting lenses – mainly full-frame – with all their characteristics, and a physical demonstration in camera and graphic examples in camera of each of them, "said Alejandro Alcocer, Sales Representative for Mexico and LatAm, and specialist in applications of Cine-Division of Camera Lenses, of the company.
"Zeiss is doing very well in Mexico. It is very positive to customers, who are very satisfied with the optical result we are presenting and we are growing with a fairly consistent pace," said Alcocer.
On the business perspective in the country, the executive said: "The TV and advertising businesses have made a transition very well in the cinema, in series production. It is a new market niche, which presents a great opportunity. Although there are several competitors and offers in the market, Zeiss has a very solid projection – which comes from the year 1846 – with a strong trajectory in the cinema and that has allowed us to continue being leaders in the market".
And he added the company's perspective: "Mexico for Zeiss is very strong and we have to work hard, as in everything, but we are happy with the results and the reception that our products have had. 2020 is going very well and we are receiving very positive signals from all sides and there is a lot of movement. The big OTT and television production companies have announced many projects to be developed in Mexico and we feel that as a very positive sign."
