Colombia. For the first time in 10 years, a call for the award of community broadcasters was opened and from this October 21, interested parties will be able to send their proposals to participate in this initiative, which will allow many regions of Colombia to have a communication channel to improve access to information and seek solutions to their local problems.
Those interested in being part of this process must meet six essential requirements, established in article 87 of resolution 415 of 2010:
1. Be an organized community duly constituted in Colombia.
2. Have carried out work with the municipal community in different areas of development.
3. Have domicile in the municipality for which it is intended to provide the community service of Sound Broadcasting.
4. Accredit the ability to bring together the social organizations of the municipality to constitute the programming board.
5. Not be incurred in cause of incapacity, incompatibility or prohibition of constitutional or legal order.
6. Not be a provider of the sound broadcasting service at present.
Proposals must be delivered personally or sent by registered mail to the Murillo Toro Building, headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (Bogotá: Carrera 8 between streets 12a and 12b, floor 1). Applications will not be received digitally and the deadline for receipt is until Friday, November 15, at 12:00 m. (deadline).
It is essential to fill in Annex No. 6 and attach it to the envelope of the proposal or clearly indicate that it contains it, together with the number of the process.
