Brazil. At the beginning of the year, the company LiveU presented the LU300, the new compact HEVC unit, with battery of more than 3 hours of performance. José Luis Reyes, vice president for Latin America of LiveU, told TVyVideo+Radio that there are more than 120 units that are working only in Brazil, with which companies such as Globo and Badeirantes are boosting the speed of the news and improving the quality of the image and audio.
During its participation in SET Expo, LiveU also presented the new version of the matrix cloud distribution and contribution software, which has as a novelty that for this year the artificial intelligence system was included.
The LiveU executive explained that it works very quickly and efficiently because Matrix is responsible for distributing live content or files through a network of LiveU units, whether fixed links, backpacks as they are known, or mobile phone applications. When a large number of these units are gathered, it is a problem to handle on a screen. Matrix presents on a screen where the contents are coming from, allows you to filter by geographical positioning, city, name, group, issuer, or by time.
Artificial intelligence in Matrix is applied in three basic functions: the first has the ability to search for information about the content that is entering, search for names of people in that content efficiently online.
The second points the artificial intelligence to all the intake that liveU is doing and that has been hooked with the news systems of the channel. And the third is that within the universe of own units and collaborators who are ingesting live or sending files, you can search within the content for certain things, such as faces and translation into 14 different languages.
