Brazil. The Forum of the Brazilian Digital Terrestrial TV System (SBTVD Forum) elected for the second time President José Marcelo Amaral and Vice President Agnaldo Silva to continue leading the association for the next two years. Also elected were councillors and alternates representing the broadcasting, reception, transmission, software industries and also of the academy, which is made up of educational institutions.
Among the attributions of the members of the deliberative council are responsibilities such as the definition of general policies of action; approval, creation and modification of working groups and modules; and approval of relations with other organizations, in Brazil and abroad. The current guidelines under discussion at the SBTVD Forum are technologies such as 4K, HDR, immersive audio, among others.
