Latin America. The Netflix content platform has enabled for users of the iOS system the Smart Downloads function, spending less time in handling their downloads and more in enjoying watching the content.
The function is activated automatically in the Downloads menu and only works when the device is connected to a WiFi network. The last downloaded and viewed episode is automatically deleted and the next one is downloaded immediately.
This way, the functionality doesn't consume the internet of the user's data plan and members don't need to worry about spending more money or the available storage space on their device. The goal is that they can focus on connecting with the stories they love, wherever and whenever they want, in a simple and fun way.
"We want our members to be in control of their Netflix experience, so they can disable the Smart Download feature if they prefer to download content manually. The functionality is now available on Android and Windows 7 devices and allows members to enjoy their favorite series easily, anytime, anywhere, "said the company.
