TV Cultura renewed its playout infrastructure

Brazil. Brazil's TV Cultura chose Grass Valley to enhance its production workflow with a newly expanded playout infrastructure. The broadcaster is now equipped with more channels, higher-resolution content and smoother integration, supporting its goal of delivering richer content to its viewers.

Grass Valley installed its latest K2 Summit 3G Transmission Client media server, allowing TV Cultura to take complete control of live event workflows and streaming applications, as well as facilitate the delivery of file-based infrastructure and high-performance file operations running simultaneously.

The server supports four channels for scalable audio mapping, up/down/cross and aspect ratio conversion, and hundreds of hours of content storage. The K2 Summit 3G also easily handles all of the station's playout requirements.

"We are committed to staying ahead of the curve to deliver the best programming to our viewers," said Gilvani Moletta, Director of Engineering and Technology at TV Cultura. "The evolution of our service to continually meet the changing needs of our audience is critical, and we rely on Grass Valley's support to achieve this. Grass Valley's K2 media server has strengthened the agility of our operation by offering expandability based on commercial and production needs, today and in the future."

TV Cultura now has a complete Grass Valley acquisition and production workflow, including six LDX 80 Flex cameras, a GV STRATUS video production and content management solution, and EDIUS editing software.

"TV Cultura is a pioneer in the Latin American television market with an unwavering commitment to deliver immersive and engaging content to its viewers," said Nahuel Villegas, Grass Valley Vice President of Sales for Latin America.

He added that "We are very proud that TV Cultura has once again turned to Grass Valley to be prepared for the future and strengthen its infrastructure to keep pace with the evolution of viewer expectations. Thanks to the strong relationship we have built over the past 12 years, TV Cultura trusts us for solutions that respond to their challenges and keep them ahead of the competition."
