International. The Dejero company has been awarded the Technology and Engineering Emmy Award for "excellence in engineering creativity," honoring a decade of achievements in the field of live broadcasting driven by its vision of reliable connectivity anywhere.

The esteemed Emmy Award praised Dejero for helping transform the way broadcasters contribute live content from the field, giving newsgather teams greater flexibility from where they can broadcast live, and at a fraction of the cost of conventional uplink technology.
Specifically, Dejero received the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Award for Excellence in Engineering Creativity for his work on "Pioneering Method of Reliable Broadcasting for Live Contribution and Television Distribution Links."

The technology provides greater mobility and time savings, allowing broadcasts to be live in minutes. Dejero has also simplified the ingest and routing workflow with cloud-based services, enabling geolocation, management and remote control of field transmitters, feed routing to online broadcast and delivery workflows, and content exchange between stations.
One of Dejero's latest innovations is CellSat, one of the most advanced connectivity solutions in streaming, in partnership with Intelsat. CellSat is a combined solution of Ku-band and cellular IP satellites, it takes the best attributes of both transmission paths and merges them into one, reliably providing the bandwidth needed to stream streaming-quality video in real time.
This year, Dejero will have managed more than 10 Petabytes of data traffic, an impressive number and adequate to round out its tenth year. If you count one byte every second, it would take more than 317 million years to count 10 Petabytes.
