Colombia. NexTV Series Colombia & Andean 2017 will bring together on November 30 at the JW Marriott hotel in Bogotá more than 40 executives from the main TV, OTT and online video companies to discuss industry trends.
Among the Pay-TV actors who will participate in the event are DirecTV, Claro, Telefónica, TigoUne, Sony Pictures Television, Fox and HBO. In addition, NexTV Series Colombia will have speakers from Caracol, RCN, RTVC representing local free-to-air TV. Roku, Samsung, Sony, LG, will also be on the executive panels of the event.
The keynote speaker, sponsored by ANTV, will be José Rivera Font, VP and general manager for Latin America of Sony Pictures Television Digital Networks, who will talk about the SVOD Crackle platform.
In addition, the conference will have a "one on one" session with Emilio Manjarrés, Digital Design & Development Director of TigoUne, who will talk about the strategy of Tigo ONEtv, the platform that allows access to linear and OTT content from multiple sources.
For their part, DirecTV, HV TV, EMCALI, Viaccess-Orca and Nagra will discuss the evolution of Pay-TV towards OTT. The conference will also discuss the changes facing free-to-air TV in its shift towards multiscreen and OTT with Channel 1, RTVC, RCN, Telemedellin and Mediastream.
In turn, Telefónica, Roku, Caracol TV, Globalplay and Minuto 30 will discuss the OTT market while Avantel, Virgin Mobile and Hiz Telecomunicaciones will analyze strategies, opportunities and challenges when launching a new TV or OTT service.
In another executive panel, Claro, Supercable, RTVC, Conax and ANTV will discuss the future of TV technologies and the challenge of multiple devices. Towards the end of the day, Claro Sports, ESPN, Mediapro, ESL and Cable Onda Sports will discuss sports, multiscreen, OTT and live streaming.
The event will also feature one-on-one sessions from Verizon Digital Media Services, Irdeto, IBM Cloud Video, Zemoga and SES.
