Colombia. With speakers from six countries, the academic program of TecnoTelevisión&Radio will be held on November 14 and 15 in its video production and post-production room.
Television is at a key moment that involves decisions about the technology model to adopt that have an important influence on the investment that is made today and on the way of working that is implemented for the future. 4K, 8K, HDR, IP and new video consumption platforms are some of the topics that industry professionals discuss every day.
In order to help industry professionals in Colombia and the Andean Region to be prepared to face these new realities, TecnoTelevisión&Radio will have in 2017 a conference room dedicated to the latest trends and technologies in production and postproduction of television and video.
The academic offer of this room begins at 9 in the morning of Tuesday, November 14 with a three-hour block on new platforms. The first presentation of this block has been called monetization for OTT, in which Damien Sterkers will explain how to make a modern and as sensitive as possible system of advertising insertion and optimize OTT distribution.
The second presentation of the block of new platforms will be in charge of Jose Gutiérrez, in which he will be able to understand how through artificial intelligence he will be able to solve the challenges of the media. This block ends with the presentation Video: present and future of digital content, by Erick Vilaró.
In the afternoon of this first day, lighting, virtual reality and cinematography will be the protagonists. Luis Omar Ramírez will talk about the advantages of the new technology of LED luminaires for TV production, consoles for LED lighting management, in the presentation LED lighting for television.
Next step, There will be Luis Enrique Mejía Flórez with the presentation Virtual and augmented reality: combination that creates new markets. This presentation will provide an overview of each of the concepts, the opportunities for new markets from international references, the Colombian context, local suppliers and applications and recommendations for adopting complex technologies in emerging businesses.
To end the first day, there will be the renowned producer and director of photography Tor Rolf Johansen, with the presentation Advanced Cinematography Techniques, in which, as a practical workshop, participants will learn how to achieve a technically perfect exposure for the sensor of the new digital cinema camera URSA Mini Pro 4.6K and maximize dynamic range depending on the scene, white balance techniques, such as "painting with light" and camera movements.
New trends
The second day of TecnoTelevisión&Radio conferences will be dedicated to new trends and technologies for video and TV production, such as 4K, 8K, HDR, IP and audio and video editing.
The day begins with a three-hour workshop in which Alejandro Pasika will allow him to clarify the reasons for the requirements and limitations of the new 4K facilities. The new particularities of studies and production, new disciplines, forms and needs of work will be analyzed.
In the afternoon, the day continues with Francisco Coronado and the conference called Successful IP Implementation. The presentation Innovations for Professional Video, by Gustavo Brunser, will show the new solutions that Adobe has launched on the market in the last year for the creation of professional video including editing, animation, color and audio.
The day ends with Omar Martínez and the presentation proTools and Dolby, in which they can learn how to create immersive mixes with Dolby Atmos technology now natively in Pro Tools HD.
